OFLC has confirmed to AILA that it has modified the deadline by which employers must respond to the sponsorship confirmation email following the filing of a PERM application. Employers traditionally have had seven days to confirm sponsorship, but that has now been extended to 30 days. If a response is not received within the first seven days, the system will automatically send a reminder email to the employer reminding them that they have 23 days left in which to confirm sponsorship. OFLC has revised the sponsorship email to reflect the new extended deadlines.
